Q: I am currently a proud owner of a P337 and considering your conversion. Does your conversion improve the maintenance problems of the old Skymasters? T.M., California
A: The conversion to a Super Skyrocket provides many advantages to the maintenance of the airplane. Due to relocation of electrical and mechanical components on both engine firewalls, coupled with improvements to the pressurization system and use of updated parts, the Super Skyrocket turns a proven airframe into the performer that it was designed to be. Q: My spoilers are deploying slower than when new. What is the most likely cause? C.G., New Mexico
A: The most likely cause is air in the hydraulic lines. The procedure to correct this situtation is to bleed the hydraulic lines at the spoiler location on each wing. Two people are required, one in the cockpit actuating the spoilers for five seconds while the second person bleeds the valve at the wing spoiler location. Repeat this procedure twice for each wing.
CAUTION ! Make sure that the hydraulic reservoir remains full of fluid while performing this procedure.
Q: I am having difficulty finding R12 freon to service the Riley Air Conditiong System. What options do I have? R.H.,Michigan
A: The system has been redesigned to use readily available R134a. The neccessary parts are available in kit form from SuperSkyrocket, LLC. Please contact us for pricing. A distinct advantage of the R134a modifications is the use of O-rings in all connections, which virtually eliminates freon leakage.
WARNING! Do not install R134a in the existing R12 system as the compressor, receiver/dryer and hoses are not configured for R134a.
Q: How much R134a freon is required to fill the Riley Airconditioning System? M.T.,Texas
A: After evacuation of all freon from the system, two pounds of R134a freon will refill the system.
Q: I am very interested in buying one of your conversions, but I need to sell my current airplane. Do you take trade-ins ? N.S.,Texas
A: Yes!
